(9) Once you select to pair with the "Ember mug" available, Bluetooth will request access, select “PAIR AND CONNECT” to connect. Then click “PAIR NEW DEVICE” and your device will begin to actively search for the mug (8) Now that everything is reset, press and hold the power button for 5-7 seconds until the blue flashing LED appears indicating that the Ember is now in pair mode. On your Travel Mug, press and hold the Ember logo for about 6-8 seconds until the display shows 'PAIR'. In the Ember App, click 'Let's Get Started' then select the Ember product you are pairing and hit 'Next' 3. The Ember Travel Mug can store your coffee or hot drink at a range from 120-145F (50-62.5C) which is considered the optimal drinking temperature for most people. A pop up will appear asking if you’d like to remove the device - click “yes” This can be found in the Google Play Store or App Store. Press the Ember logo to bring up the + and symbols and simply press them to either raise or lower the desired temperature you want for your drink. If the initial screen states “connect to your Ember” and there is an image of a mug, go ahead and hold down on the image of the mug. (you can confirm the Ember is off by giving it a light shake, if still on, the LED will light up with this movement. To do this, hold down power button located on the bottom of the Ember for 4-5 seconds until the LED fades to off. As tedious as this step is, it is much better to start the pairing process with your mug turned off. (6) Next, It is best to power down your Ember mug. At this point, please let go and allow the mug to pulse back to white. To do this, please hold the power button on the bottom of the mug for about 14 seconds until you see the LED flash red. (5) Now we will move to your Ceramic mug to perform a reset. (4) Once the phone is powered back on, let’s toggle the bluetooth in your settings! To do this, please turn bluetooth off completely, then turn it back on. (Make sure smartphone has completely powered off, let it sit for 30 seconds, then turn it back on) Locate the Ember Mug under Paired Devices (2) Next, we will clear out Bluetooth settings, forgetting our current connection and all other devices that may still hold a connection to the Ember. (1) Let’s start by deleting and reinstalling the Ember app on your phone These steps will allow us to begin the process with a clean slate and eliminate any bugs or malfunctions the mug may have. If you don't mind, let's try pairing the Ember from scratch to ensure a secure connection. There are some further troubleshooting steps we can try. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We are sorry you are still experiencing difficulty with this. I'll post the email they sent me for steps to try: I paired it to my iPad which actually worked even though it technically isn't supported either. Not yet, but I haven't tried everything suggested.
